Reclaiming A Space Artist Talk

Overview

Reclaiming a Space (spring 2024) exhibition at Irish Arts Center, curated by Diana Copperwhite, showcases work from Copperwhite, Erin Lawlor, Dannielle Tegeder, and Helen O’Leary. At the artist talk, all four artists were joined by artist and critic Jason Stopa and Dr. Angela Griffith, Trinity College Dublin, where they discussed abstract visual art practice in Ireland, identity and history as influence but not driving force, Mainie Jellet as pioneering Irish woman abstract artist, painting as a space of projection, and more.
