Overview
Celebrate Imbolc, the ancient Irish festival heralding spring and honoring the patron saint and goddess Brigid, with a concert and activities for audiences of all ages! Singer-songwriter Jenna Nicholls, known for her vintage, decades-spanning repertoire, performs music inspired by Irish folklore and magic, with crankie artist Alicia Gerstein joining to animate the set list. Hot chocolate and Imbolc-inspired crafts to follow the show.
Recommended for ages 5–9, but all are welcome.
This event takes place in the Irish Arts Center library.

Library // Concert: 1pm and 3pm

The Devlin Café // Hot chocolate and poetry: 12–4:30pm
Warm your body and your soul with some hot chocolate, and Imbolc and nature inspired poetry. Cozy up with a book of poems or write your own and add it to one of our PoeTrees!
Studio classroom // St. Brigid's cross crafts: 12–4:30pm
Imbolc is also called St. Brigid's Day. Join IAC Staff to make your own St. Brigid's cross to take home. Learn about more traditional techniques with videos from the National Museum of Ireland—Country Life.
The Devlin Café and studio are located on first floor. The library classroom is located on the 3rd floor, with both elevator and stair access.
