Overview

This high-energy adaptation of Ragas to Reels for younger audiences explores the differences and similarities between Indian classical and Irish traditional music through a variety of interactive activities.

Kids and their adult companions discover the instruments of each style through demonstrations by performers Utsav Lal, Sam Comerford and Ganavya, taking turns conducting the artists, creating their own ragas, and more!

A great opportunity to introduce your child to the mind-opening, unifying experience of cross-cultural collaboration.

Recommended for ages four and up.

We request that you bring any one item that makes a sound you like. You will be using this sound in one of the afternoon’s activities. We are going to call this sound a “Wild Card” sound which means this sound can come from anything and everything. It could come from a bell you like to ring, a pet’s squeaky toy, or an empty plastic bottle that makes a crinkly sound when you squeeze it. If it makes a sound, any sound, it will work!
