Overview

Come dance and sing at the 6th annual Porch Stomp festival on Governors Island! Learn a céilí from Darrah Carr Dance and join in your favorite Irish ballads with Peadar Hickey from Basket House Band, then wander around the historic Nolan Park, where the porches of 19th century cottages transform into stages for over 200 folk, roots, bluegrass, and Americana musicians.

About Porch Stomp

Porch Stomp is a folk celebration set on the beautiful greenery of Governors Island. Porch Stomp invites over 150 bands, artists, or performing arts organizations to use the historic porches of Nolan Park as a pulpit for performance and education, highlighting artistry ranging from traditional folk to old-time, blues, roots, bluegrass and Americana. Now in its sixth year, Porch Stomp offers more unique performance and educational opportunities than ever. There are many ways to participate as a performer, student, or viewer. There's no better way to spend a Sunday in June!
