This class will be conducted in person at Irish Arts Center, located at 726 11th Avenue in NYC, between 51st and 52nd Streets.

The communal spirit of playing tunes in unison at a pub-table session is great fun! But have you ever wondered how a professional Irish band can arrange those same tunes into completely new-sounding pieces? Learn how to listen for the musical secrets that transform good bands into great ones, and pick up some of those tricks yourself for when you play tunes with others.

Level: Advanced Beginner and above. All instruments are welcome. No previous study of music theory and no music reading required.

This workshop will be held in person in the Library Classroom.
