Overview

The Flanagan Brothers were among the most brilliant and colorful Irish performers in America in the 20th century. Mick Moloney, who met Mike Flanagan in the late 1970s and helped make the brothers’ music accessible to a new generation of Irish musicians, gives a presentation on the family’s most memorable story, complete with audio and video recordings from their huge repertoire of songs, tunes, and vaudeville style skits. Q&A to follow.

One night only; must register to receive link to event.

Musician and folklorist Dr. Mick Moloney presents the sixth edition of Intercultural Connections, his popular lecture series exploring the contributions of Irish artists in a global context.
