IAC Commissions: Melatu Uche Okorie's "Sitting in the Car"

Writer and scholar Melatu Uche Okorie moved from Nigeria to Ireland in 2006, where her debut collection, This Hostel Life, was shortlisted for the 2019 An Post Irish Book Award. For our Grásta commissions series, we're premiering new work by Okorie: a short piece of fiction about the unraveling menace in a woman's life, presented as a film narrated by the author, performed by Donna Anita Nikolaisen and Clement Chigaru, and directed by Bob Gallagher.
