Irish comedian Ardal O’Hanlon brings his brand new stand up show to the IAC for two nights only!  Don’t miss the hilarious star of Father Ted for his only New York appearances

Ardal O’Hanlon is best known as the dim-witted "‘Father Dougal McGuire" in the hit TV series Father Ted, a role that earned him five British Comedy Award nominations, one BAFTA nomination, and the "Top Television Comedy Newcomer" award at the 1995 British Comedy Awards.

A previous winner of no less than three "Best Comedian" awards, O’Hanlon is coming off another sold-out tour of the U.K., which saw him play over 30 live shows in two months. He has toured England, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Belgium and Italy, and has twice appeared at the prestigious “Just for Laughs” Festival in Montreal.

In addition to Father Ted, O’Hanlon wrote and presented Leagues Apart for RTE Television and had starring roles in the BBC series Blessed, the ITV drama-comedy Big Bad World, and the BBC comedy My Hero. He also taped a half-hour stand up special for Comedy Central, Comedy Central Presents: Ardal O’Hanlon.

“Ardal O’Hanlon appearing as ‘himself’ will be a revelation. If you’ve only seen him in his television role as wide-eyed eejit ‘Father Dougal’ don’t miss his stand up performance. Watch him turn innocence into a deadly comic weapon”The Sunday Times
