Both Sides Now The Melting Pot
The multimedia evening will showcase what good things can happen when diverse artists join forces. In the late '70s legendary jazz bassist and composer Charles Mingus invited Joni Mitchell to collaborate with him. The result was the critically acclaimed Mingus album—a sound that was contemporary, lyrical and complex. This show will explore “the song” in jazz and we’ll hear artists who excel when crossing genres.
