Music Valentine's Weekend with Declan O’Rourke & Orchestra
February 17- 19 | 8 PM
“One of Ireland's most respected singer-songwriters.” —NPR
“Compassion, romance, a sense of mortality and a sense of history run through the songs of Declan O’Rourke…his calling is as a balladeer, proffering reassurance in the face of inevitable sorrow.” – Jon Pareles, The New York Times
“Galileo,” “A Little Something, and “Children of 16,” as you’ve never heard them before!
Direct from the National Concert Hall in Dublin, the acclaimed Irish balladeer Declan O'Rourke returns to Irish Arts Center with a ten-piece chamber orchestra conducted by Henry Hey.
This concert is the U.S. launch of Declan's latest studio record In Full Colour, a collection of fifteen brand new recordings of musical treasures from across Declan's career—all backed by a full orchestra.
