Transforming the Space: Physical Theatre and Ensemble Improvisation

This intensive workshop is designed for performers and facilitators to introduce the principles of transformation of space, time and character through physical theatre and ensemble improvisation. It will cover group theatre games, improvisation skills, character building, and work toward building story through location and object.

Annie Ryan is the director and adaptor of A Girl is a Half-formed Thing and founder of Dublin’s multi-award-winning company, The Corn Exchange. Grounded in ensemble practice, the company’s work builds story from deep collaboration with performers to find the journey from the body into character and into the transforming space.
