I Draw Slow

Friday, February 19 | 7 PM & 9 PM

"With White Wave Chapel, their best album to date under their belt, it seems a matter of time before I Draw Slow will dominate the global folk scene." - Huffington Post UK

“A winning combination…musically ambitious…thoughtfully performed.” - The Irish Times

“An Irish five-piece who have conjured a brand of indie bluegrass that fits impeccably into the traditional American canon, while also bearing a stamp all their own.” - Hot Press

Top Dublin country/folk band I Draw Slow returns to Irish Arts Center to perform songs from their newly released White Wave Chapel album, rooted in the style of the Appalachian Mountains, traditional Irish music, and modern Americana.

Drawing favorable comparisons with Gillian Welch and Alison Krauss, I Draw Slow tell dark tales of dark and light, of debauchery and love, of trouble and joy, swinging from the kind of well-crafted melodies that survive. And with the haunting tone of Louise’s voice, these fiddle-fused harmonies are sure to become firm favorites with their growing fan base at home and abroad.
