Multi award-winning company Brokentalkers (last in NYC in January 2014 with Have I No Mouth) return to develop an ambitious new theatre piece as part of the Baryshnikov Arts Center’s BAC Space residency intensive. For three weeks, Brokentalkers creators will try out new ideas to create a bold production examining healthcare and aging, and what the future might hold for the human race as technological advances challenge normal patterns of aging and death. Collaborating with two performers, a choreographer, and a composer, the work will fuse live electro synth music with contemporary dance and original text.
Brokentalkers are a multi award-winning Dublin-based theatre company. Formed in 2001 by Feidlim Cannon and Gary Keegan, Brokentalkers have built a reputation as one of Ireland's most innovative and original theatre companies by making formally ambitious work that defies categorization.
BAC Space is a residency period designed to encourage peer exchange, during which artists across disciplines who are developing independent projects and collaborations work concurrently in all of BAC’s studios and theaters.
