Afternoon Art Party

This series is designed to provide children with the chance to interact with IAC artists and performers, while taking part in the creative process. Activities and events will relate to the artistic programs we present, offering the chance for parents to expand the Irish Arts Center experience for their children.

A Family Workshop

Saturday, May 7 | 11 AM – 2 PM

Ages 8 – 10

Led by Irish novelist and IAC instructor Yvonne Cassidy, parents and children will participate in a warm, rich, and meaningful family workshop creating, sharing, and binding an original story, focusing individually on a favorite memory or event. All stories will be shared over a storytelling picnic, and then illustrated by each parent-child pair. Bring your mom, dad, sibling, grandparent, aunt, uncle - whoever is family to you - and come away with a magical book to share with friends old and new.
