In 2012, brothers Brían and Diarmuid Mac Gloinn decamped from their native rural Carlow to Dublin, where they helped catalyze the city’s resurgent folk scene. Their music, an amalgam of original and masterfully resurrected traditional songs, is both homespun and immaculate, plaintive and lush. Over the years, they’ve toured throughout Ireland, the UK and Europe, opened gigs for Glen Hansard and Lisa Hannigan, ascended the Other Voices mainstage, and swept the annual RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Awards. They now headline their first stateside concert.
