Overview

Spoon playing is easy to do badly. Niall O’Leary, musician and former All-Ireland and World Champion dancer—will teach you how to do it well! Workshop attendees will learn how to bring out the inherent rhythms of Irish traditional music using just two spoons and techniques including syncopation and rhythmic variation.

All levels are welcome. Beginner students will learn the basics and some cool moves. Advanced students will be shown additional moves and rhythms.

Please note that spoons will be provided for this workshop.

Presented with generous support from Culture Ireland.
