The X Collective

The X Collective is a community of creatives including artists, singers, rappers, songwriters, spoken word artists producers, photographers, videographers, directors, graphic designers, content creators, event coordinators, and marketing and PR. It is a platform for the production and promotion of artistic expression, with music at its core and collaboration at its forefront. 

The X Collective revolves around people and is driven by an effort that is always combined, always shared. Our team of artists and industry professionals are scattered throughout Dublin, Cork, Belfast, London, Paris, Germany, New York, and Vancouver. Collaboration between members of the X Collective community can cross musical styles and art forms, as well as international borders.

Oíche, pronounced 'e-ha' and meaning "night" in Gaelic, is a music organization founded by Emily Shaw that provides services for event promotion, artist management, music sessions, and blogs. Oíche deals primarily with soul, jazz, reggae, electro-pop, and world Music styles.

The Grand Social is a renowned live music venue located on the quays of the Liffey River in Dublin.

From Rathfarnham, Dublin, 25-year-old singer, songwriter, musician, producer and performer Zapho (aka Ele Breslin) writes the kind of smart, svelte electro-pop/soul songs that arrive only from an intuitive understanding of the form. While scarcely tolerating what passes for mainstream pop these days, she nonetheless aims “to make my songs as catchy as possible, with loads of hooks that can be memorised easily and which are relatable and universal.”

Chloë Agnew is a singer, songwriter, and actor from Dublin. From the age of 14, Chloë gained fame for her integral part as one of the original (and youngest) members of the internationally acclaimed music group Celtic Woman. At the age of 24, she embarked on a solo career that has seen her perform all over the world.

Artist Gemma Bradley’s distinctive brand of pop-R&B embraces her favorite aspects of pop music and meshes them with hand-picked sounds from R&B and soul. She has been featured on the Other Voices Music Trail in Dingle and Derry; played festivals including Electric Picnic, Stendhal, Vantastival, and more; and won the 2018 Christie Hennessy Prize. Her inspirations include Corinne Bailey Rae, Izzy Bizu, Amy Winehouse, and Mahalia.

ELKAE (Laura Keane) is an emerging electronic soul artist songwriter and producer setting
out in a genre of her own.
 Having started piano and singing lessons at the age of five, Laura 
continued her studies in BIMM and went on to
 become 
‘ELKAE’ after developing an 
interest in producing.
 She combines ambient production, live instrumentation, and bass- and synth-driven beats to accompany her vocals.

Tolu Makay is a singer and songwriter inspired by international soul artists including Erykah Badu, Nina Simone, Amy Winehouse, Asa, and Labrinth.

Shookrah is a five-piece outfit based in Cork, serving fresh helpings of synth-grooves, interruptive hooks and dystopian romance-themed songs. Their sound sits somewhere between neo-soul and the emerging schools of R&B/Soul that define themselves as 'Future Soul'.

Shy Mascot is a Dublin-based quintet that combines funk, jazz, and hip-hop.

Zeenie Summers is a Yoruba-Irish pop-soul artist with an eclectic mix of influences from West Africa and beyond.

Founded in 2016, Toshín is a six-piece band that takes inspiration from a variety of music style, spanning from early Motown to modern soul/R&B artists such as Tank and the Bangas and Anderson.  

Toshín have played shows and festivals including Beat Yard festival, Electric Picnic, Body & Soul Mainstage, and Music Makers Festival UK, and have released four singles to date: “Boy Listen,” “We Don't Share Blood,” “Love in Defeat,” and “Girl Go Off.” Their debut EP Get Your Life was released in February 2020.
