Overview

Hugh Linehan, Irish Times arts and culture editor and host of the Irish Times political podcast, moderates an evening of chat about politics, personality, and social change on both sides of the Atlantic. First, Hugh is joined by Fintan O’Toole to discuss We Don’t Know Ourselves, Fintan’s part-memoir, part-history of modern Ireland. Terri McCullough then joins the conversation to talk about the challenge of governing in a polarized America, and what the future holds as the country prepares for an unpredictable election in 2024.

Special guests include:
Terri McCullough, chief of staff to former U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi
Fintan O’Toole, author, critic, Irish Times columnist, and visiting lecturer at Princeton University

Presented with generous support from Culture Ireland.
