Overview
One of Ireland’s most exciting young talents, Susan O’Neill (aka SON) has been compared to the likes of Janis Joplin and Amy Winehouse thanks to her freewheeling blues and folk sensibilities. Her first album, found myself lost, earned her a spot on Hot Press magazine’s 2016 Albums of the Year and the attention of Bono and Sharon Shannon (with whom she toured last year).
SON has become a regular on the Irish festival circuit and is a frequent collaborator with the Waterford-based dance band King Kong Company, together gaining a spot on Hot Press’s Top 10 Irish acts at the All Together Now festival this August.
The artist returns to New York after a successful North American tour, including four stand-out shows at the Milwaukee Irish Fest, to play two intimate solo concerts at Irish Arts Center.
