Overview

Get a taste of Ireland’s rich cultural traditions at our annual open house! Guests of all ages can join in a céilí, sample our many educational offerings, make arts and crafts, and delight in the day’s free music and dance performances.

Admission is free, but reservations are required.

Traditional music and dance all day


THE JL GREENE THEATRE
Music and dance performances, and lessons 

12pm–12:30pm: Music and dance performance // IAC Community Céilí Band and set dance demonstration
12:45pm–1:45pm: Music performance// Rock and Roll Playhouse: The music of U2 and more for kids
2pm–2:45pm: Dance performance and lesson // JiGGiG
3pm–4pm: Dance performance and lesson // All ages céilí dance


STUDIO CLASSROOM
Arts and crafts inspired by Julián, the new feature film by award-winning Irish animation studio Cartoon Saloon, which is based on the award-winning picture book Julián Is a Mermaid by Jessica Love


LIBRARY CLASSROOM
Sample classes and literature

12:15pm–1pm: Tin whistle sample lesson and giveaway in honor of Bill Ochs
1:15pm–2pm: Irish language 101 for everyone
3:15pm–3pm: Meet the author and storytime with Jessica Love, author of Julián Is a Mermaid
