Overview

Our spring 2026 member pre-sale starts Friday, December 12. Tickets go on sale to the public on Monday, December 15.

Seanchoíche—a storytelling night founded in Dublin—is a night for people from all corners, backgrounds, and identities to come together to listen and engage with stories told by volunteer speakers. These stories can range from personal anecdotes, to poetry pieces, to spoken word, fictional narratives, and anything in between. As part of Irish Language Day 2026, Seanchoíche is curating and hosting a evening of stories in the Irish language on the theme of Abhaile or "Home.”

“Empathy is remembering that everybody has a story. Multiple stories.”—Kae Tempest

Tell your story!  You, yes YOU, are invited to submit a story! All levels of Irish and bilingual stories will be considered. Just follow the prompts here and select “NYC” as your location. Stories must be submitted before February 14th, 2026. Storytellers will be informed if their story has been selected for reading at the event in early March 2026.

If you have any questions about submitting your story for consideration as a storyteller for the night, please email jessie@irishartscenter.org.

This event is being presented as part of Féile na Gaeilge / Irish Language Day. Admission to Seanchoíche is free to all Féile na Gaeilge ticket holders.
