Overview
Singer-songwriter Rebecca Hart returns to Irish Arts Center with her unique style of modern alt-folk music, with Irish influence. Hart and her band will perform songs from her newest album, The Magician’s Daughter, inspired by and dedicated to the memory of her late father, playwright/director Joseph Hart—another artist whose work found a home on Irish Arts Center’s stage.
This hauntingly atmospheric album charts Rebecca and her father’s relationship to each other and to Ireland. Performed in concert, we will see her storytelling brought to life in the kind of spellbinding live show that’s earned her the long-time success she’s enjoyed in New York—where she regularly sells out venues like Joe’s Pub and Rockwood Music Hall.
