Overview

Anne Johnson, Mondays, 7pm—8pm

8 weekly sessions beginning September 20

Whether you’ve never read a note of music or simply feel uneasy with a score, this course will show you techniques for reading notation with confidence. By practicing exercises at home and reading together in class, students will learn what to keep an eye out for as they start to play new music. We will focus on the treble clef, and add in some bass clef toward the end of the term. The goal is to make written music a helper instead of a hindrance. Open to all instrumentalists and singers!
