Overview

Randy Cohen returns to Irish Arts Center with his live podcast interview show based on the idea that people are most engaging when they speak not about themselves, but something they care about. Guests talk about one person, one place, and one thing that are important to them. The result? Surprising stories from great talkers, moderated by the celebrated humorist, four-time Emmy Award-winner, and former columnist for the New York Times Magazine’s "The Ethicist." Past guests have included Paul Shaffer, Ta-Nehisi Coates, Maya Lin, Laurie Anderson, Andy Borowitz, A.O. Scott, Jonathan Safran Foer, and Julianne Moore.

This season Cohen interviews Michael Dowling, a native of Limerick, Ireland, and president and CEO of Northwell Health, the largest integrated health care system in New York State.

"Richly entertaining…a talented satirist.”Publishers Weekly on Cohen’s writing
