This class will be held online.
This course is for students who have completed Introduction to Music Theory or who have some other basic background in the subject. We'll begin with a quick review of major and minor keys, modes, intervals and triads, and progress to sevenths and other chords, using chords within the context of a key (chord progressions), how modes affect the accompaniment of tunes and songs, and the basic elements of writing and improvising counterpoint.
