Location

This class will be conducted in-person in the Library classroom at the new Irish Arts Center, located at 726 11th Avenue in NYC, between 51st and 52nd Streets. Please note that students must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 to attend in-person classes. A well-fitting face mask, covering your nose and mouth, must be worn at all times inside the building. Overview

Explore traditional Irish singing in a friendly group environment. Students will learn to sing several traditional songs by ear, and we will discuss the text and stylistic parameters of traditional Irish singing. Beginners welcome!
