Overview

Caoimhe Nic Giollarnáith, Tuesdays, 7:30pm-8:30pm

8 weekly sessions beginning April 16

This class will be held online.

IAC students now have the option to learn Irish through the TEG (Teastas Eorpach na Gaeilge—European Certificate in Irish) framework with certified instructor Caoimhe Nic Giollarnáith! TEG, which is administered by the Centre for Irish Language at Maynooth University, Ireland, is the first and only system of certification for adults, allowing learners to undertake examinations at five different levels of proficiency. The curriculum will be based on the A1 level for absolute beginners, covering basic phrases, useful vocabulary, greetings, some grammar, and common themes.

Those wishing to obtain an official qualification in Irish can sit an exam by contacting the TEG office at teanga@mu.ie. You can find more info about the TEG framework at teg.ie/teg-levels.8.html.
