Our spring 2021 term will be held online.

This class will be conducted via Zoom. Upon registration, you will receive a link to, and instructions for, downloading the free program. Laptop, desk computer, or tablet with video and audio ability is required.

Overview

Laura Neese, Wednesdays, 7pm—8pm

6 weekly sessions beginning June 30

A boot-camp introduction to the basics of hard shoe Irish step dancing. Students will learn the fundamentals of Irish percussive dance, starting with posture, alignment, conditioning and basic sound patterns, progressing to treble reels and jigs. Some previous Irish or percussive dance experience (tap, flamenco, etc.) is recommended.

Students should wear shorts or workout pants and a t-shirt. For footwear: sneakers, ballet shoes, or ghillies are best.
