Overview
Celtic identity has been forged historically by a common heritage and history along the wild Atlantic coastline from Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, and the Isle of Man to the continental cultures of Brittany, Asturias, and Galicia. Dr. Mick Moloney explores how in recent decades a remarkable outpouring of art, particularly in the disciplines of music and dance, has amplified and strengthened this extraordinary legacy.
Musician and folklorist Dr. Mick Moloney presents the fourth edition of Intercultural Connections, his popular lecture series exploring the contributions of Irish artists in a global context.
Support for this program is also provided by The Irish Institute and Knights of St. Patrick.
