Explore a variety of Irish craft work and talent with a special screening of RTÉjr’s hit show Makers, featuring willow-weaver Beth Moran, ceramicist Gráinne Watts, and wood-turner Glenn Lucas. After the screening, showcase your own creativity by making traditional crafts with teaching artists from Textile Arts Center to give as holiday gifts or enjoy for yourself.

Appropriate for children ages 4 and up.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS WHEN PURCHASING:

Please choose 1 of 2 craft making sessions per person when checking out. 

Craft Session 1: Woven Holiday Cards 
Learn how to weave on a table loom and experiment with different fibers and materials to create a soft holiday card with teaching artists from Textile Arts Center.

Craft Session 2: Felted Ornaments 
Learn how to shape wool fibers using felting techniques to create holiday ornaments with teaching artists from Textile Arts Center.

Please note the screening portion of this event is free of charge, and the ticketed price covers the craft supplies/instruction after the screening. If you would like to solely attend the 30 min screening of "Makers," please reserve for the screening only.



RTÉjr is a children's channel operated by Ireland's national broadcaster Raidió Teilifís Éireann, which targets a demographic between 2-6 years of age. Makers explores Irish craft making with weaver Beth Moran, ceramicist Gráinne Watts and woodturner Glenn Lucas. rtejr.rte.ie/makers
