“Brel is the reason I’m a singer today—I essentially ended my career as an architect to become a performer after falling in love with singing his music”
 —Camille

The Irish-French chanteuse Camille O'Sullivan returns to Irish Arts Center in a tribute to the legendary Belgian singer-songwriter Jacques Brel.

With her longtime collaborator pianist Feargal Murray and her band, Camille performs from her latest album, Brel, and summons the haunting Parisian soul within Brel’s repertoire, including such favorites as “Amsterdam” and “Ne Me Quitte Pas."

Past sold-out performances at IAC have showcased Camille’s chameleon-like interpretations of some of the 20th century’s most beloved songwriters. She has stunned audiences and won awards and fans around the world, and her recent appearances include sold-out runs at London’s prestigious Roundhouse and Union Chapel, and an Australia tour that won her a nomination for the distinguished Helpmann Award.

Join Camille this October in our intimate Donaghy Theater and let her lure you with the power and passion of Brel.

Featuring songs from Camille O’Sullivan Sings Brel, Live at Wilton’s Music Hall.

“Spellbinding”
Time Out New York

“Camille leads us through humour, poignancy, anger and despair. She is a magnificent artist of song, as Brel was, and their pairing is a heavenly marriage of the infernal in human nature.”This is Cabaret

“Each song was performed with such magnificence it was as though it was the show’s finale every time” Broadway Baby

“Brel’s lyrical masterpieces and all the worlds they conjure almost seem as if they were written for O’Sullivan, the Irish Piaf and Patti Smith hybrid who grants them life” Fest
