Overview

Irish Arts Center’s Oíche Shamhna (EE-huh how-nah) is a banshee’s brew of spooky shows, creepy crafts, and magical music—all served up with lashings of lore. This year’s event will explore the traditions of both the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain and Día de los Muertos, with performances from Darrah Carr Dance and Mazarte Dance Company, and a visual arts project by Chilean artist Niktalope.

“At this Irish Halloween celebration, kids can learn about the spooky traditions indigenous to the Emerald Isle”—TIME OUT NEW YORK
