Overview

Our fall 2024 season is on sale to IAC members now! Tickets will open to the public on Monday, July 29.

Did you know, that carving pumpkins (originally turnips!), dressing up, and other age-old Halloween traditions began in Ireland? Come celebrate the Irish roots of the holiday at IAC! This year, we'll be watching a spooky puppet show, making "turnip" jack-o’-lanterns, and casting spells through Irish music and dance with artists from Dublin trio Alfi, Darrah Carr Dance, and WonderSpark Puppets. All ages are welcome.

“At this Irish Halloween celebration, kids can learn about the spooky traditions indigenous to the Emerald Isle.”—Time Out New York

This event will take place in our Library and Studio Classrooms and the Devlin Café.

Alfi's performance is part of their Irish Arts Center residency including a series of masterclasses and a Café Concert Series performance.

Presented with generous support from Culture Ireland, Tourism Ireland, and the Emigrant Support Programme.
