Overview
Calling all ghouls, goblins, fairies, and witches! Come on a trick-or-treat adventure, carve a turnip (the original jack-o’-lantern), play age-old Irish Halloween games, and join Laura Simms, artistic director of Hans Christian Andersen Storytelling Center, as she brings to life marvelously spooky tales from Celtic mythology with the help of Darrah Carr Dance.
Come in costume!
“At this Irish Halloween celebration, kids can learn about the spooky traditions indigenous to the Emerald Isle.”
—Time Out New York
“A major force in the revival of storytelling in America.”
—New York Times on Laura Simms
Darrah Carr Dance's season is made possible in part by public funds from Creative Engagement, supported by the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council and the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and administered by the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (LMCC.net). The Ireland Funds also supports Darrah Carr Dance's programs.
