“Brimming with tunes…an audacious and seriously intelligent suite of songs.” – The Irish Times
Dublin singer-songwriter Dylan Tighe’s debut album Record was released in 2014 to widespread acclaim. The Sunday Times declared Dylan an “exquisite songwriter,” while RTÉ proclaimed the album "starkly brilliant” and “a deeply personal and deeply moving piece of work." Dylan also works as an actor and theatre-maker, and his stage production based on songs from Record performed at Cork Midsummer Festival and Dublin Theatre Festival was described by the Irish Independent as proposing "a new theatrical form for a new way of thinking." A radio version for RTÉ, featuring songs from the album was nominated for the Prix Europa Prize 2013 in Berlin. He is currently working on material for his second album.
"The magic of Ponyhof (led by Carrie Erving) is both delicate and energetic, lighthearted while also quite deep, fresh yet undeniably familiar; think St. Vincent meets Bjork atop flourishing dance beats." - Bushwick Daily
Opening for Tighe, Carrie Erving presents an evening of songs that draw on her experience as a contemporary singer and songwriter, as well as her training in the traditional Irish Sean-nós singing style from her studies at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance in Limerick, Ireland. Carrie’s love of travel and music has led her to live in Germany, Ireland, New Mexico and New York. She recorded her first album in Berlin, Germany, where she became a critically-acclaimed staple in the Berlin music scene. She currently lives in Brooklyn, where she performs with her band Ponyhof, and has worked with artists such as Yo-Yo Ma and members of Arcade Fire. Ponyhof's debut album Empires was released in 2014.
