5th Annual
Irish Arts Center Book Day
in association with New York City Council and the New York State Assembly

A citywide celebration of Irish literature

Tuesday, March 17 | 7 am until the books run out!

“If one cannot enjoy reading a book over and over again, there is no use in reading it at all.” - Oscar Wilde

Carrying on the yearly tradition of celebrating Irish literature on St. Patrick’s Day for our 5th year, the Irish Arts Center will take to the streets to introduce and re-introduce New Yorkers to some of Ireland’s most celebrated writers.

Volunteers across the city will be handing out thousands of free books to commuters and school children at transit hubs across all five New York City boroughs.

Take a walk through the pages of Joyce, Yeats, Wilde or some of Ireland’s newest hotly-tipped masters and awaken the desire to read, read over and read again.

Get involved!
