Creative Writing
Yvonne Cassidy, Wednesdays 7 pm – 9 pm
$180 general / $150 member

6 weekly sessions beginning Wednesday, April 12th, 2017

Note: This course runs for 6 sessions for 2 hours per session.

They say everyone has a story; this class with Irish novelist Yvonne Cassidy will help you tell yours. Over the course of eight weeks, Yvonne will work with you to develop your story while you discover the fundamental tools of creative writing. Whether you want to write fiction, memoirs, or about the lives of your Irish ancestors, this class will provide a fun and supportive environment to get pen to paper and write that story you’ve always wanted!

Storytelling
Brad Lawrence, Mondays 7 pm – 9 pm
$180 general / $150 member
Note: This course runs for 6 sessions at 2 hours a session.

8 weekly sessions beginning Monday, April 10th, 2017

During this six-week storytelling class you will learn how to structure and tell a true story from personal experience, what separates a story from an anecdote or a joke, and what elements make for a compelling and relatable narrative that absorbs any listener, be it a date, a potential employer, or an audience of a thousand.

Innovative Playwriting
Honor Molloy and Joseph Goodrich, Thursday, 7pm - 9pm

$180 general / $150 member

8 weekly sessions beginning, Thursday, April 13th, 2017

Playwrights Honor Molloy and Joseph Goodrich will help you develop your unique voice by observing and listening to the world around you. Over the course of eight weeks, the class will focus on character, dialogue and plot through writing exercises, table readings, constructive feedback, as well as the study and discussion of selected scenes from the work of classic Irish and American playwrights. Each participant will develop and complete a ten-minute play, or solidify work already in progress. For beginning and continuing students.
